Ministries: Service

Outreach

Loving our community and world is about reaching out to others. Outreach is meeting the needs of our community and world while expressing God's love in ways that build relationship and provide opportunities to share God's plan of salvation. Our church practices outreach in every way that we can, and we hope that you will join us in serving and loving others.

Youth

Our youth group, Inertia Youth, is a group of students who are passionate about praising and serving Jesus Christ. Inertia Youth meets every Wednesday night. A meal is provided by the church at 5:30pm and fellowship is from 6:00pm until service begins. Service begins around 7:05pm is done roughly around 8:00pm.
The first Sunday of every month we have an Afterglow. This is a time of fellowship and a meal for the youth, and it usually takes place in the home of one of our church members. It is a great opportunity for members of our church to interact with and get to know our youth.
We have a teen quizzing team that competes in quizzing competitions around the area. Quiz meets are on Sunday afternoons around 4:00pm.

Children

We love our children, and believe that they are a very important part of our church. Therefore, we believe that it is of vital importance to reach young people for Christ. In order to do this, we offer Sunday School and Children's Church programs on Sunday mornings, as well as a Children's Quizzing program on Wednesday evening.

Small Groups, Bible Studies, and Sunday School

Small groups and Bible studies are groups of people who meet regularly outside of our normal Sunday morning services. These groups allow us to connect and grow together in a more intimate setting. We offer a wide variety of Sunday School classes for children, teens, young adults, adults, and seniors that start at 9:15am on Sunday mornings, as well as two Bible studies for men and women on Wednesday evenings.

L.A.C.E.

Ladies Aspiring to Christian Excellence or L.A.C.E. is an arm of the church that focuses on women serving and supporting the church.  The L.A.C.E. ministry is an outlet that allows them to form friendships with other Christian women, and a place to find prayerful support.  L.A.C.E. enables women to find and use their talents for service in the church and throughout the community.  Monthly fellowships are held to strengthen this bond with child care provided on most occasions.  Service opportunities are available and rotate quarterly so no one is overwhelmed.  If you are a woman looking for a place to connect, please contact the church office and an L.A.C.E. leader will contact you about how to get plugged in.

Primetime Ministries

Defining the “Prime Time” of life is subjective to whom you ask.  At Longview Nazarene we define Primetimers as those who have experienced life to a more mature time. If you are eligible for AARP, then you are eligible for Primetime. You don’t age out but continue joyfully enjoying life. Our focus is on building a stronger relationship with God, trusting and depending on him, and being a disciple to others.  We regularly meet for social times and group events.  Contact the church office to have a Primetime leader get in touch with you to tell you more about Primetime.

We are so excited to be able to offer a variety of opportunities for you and your family to get connected. We want to connect with one another in order to encourage one another in our faith. We hope to see you soon!
